Burj Khalifa in Dubai, UAE
The world’s tallest tower and most prestigious residential address is the Burj Khalifa, located in Dubai. Its design is derived from a pattern embodied in the form of Islamic architecture, which has a great element of history and culture in the region. A buttressed core system has been used to support and stabilize the Burj Khalifa, a structure of great altitude. The building is also designed with a cladding system, to withstand the unbearable heat in Dubai during summers, and also has its own condensation management system which sustainably produces over a million gallons of water annually.
New York by Gehry, USA
Apart from its height, the building's design is nothing short of a masterpiece. When the light reflects upon it as the day progresses, the skillful use of form and material gives it an extraordinary look. It has dynamic exteriors that feature curved walls and windows that extend into the sky.
B199 in Istanbul, Turkey
B199, is located in Istanbul and is designed by Oncuoglu Architecture. The 32 storey tower is supported by open terraces on the upper floors and social spaces on the lower floors; and the view is one of urban Turkey's most sought after. The project was inspired by the historical terrain of the two districts – Buyukdere and Gultepe. The façade and terraces are designed in a way to suit maximum sunlight and attract the best view of the cityscape.
One Bloor in Toronto, Canada
Also known as One Bloor East and Number One Bloor, is considered as city’s most iconic residential apartments. The 76 storey tower was developed by Great Gulf Homes and looks especially spectacular in the evenings. One Bloor offers 700 premium residential suites framed by a silhouette of curved walls, that are contoured in the shape of a piano.
Van Buren in Chicago, USA
A 46 storey tower in Chicago, this marvellous building was designed by architecture firm Perkins & Will. Ultramodern residences with superb interiors give residents a spectacular view of Chicago city.
